PAST AWARD WINNERS

Waverley presents the LEYDEN MEMORIAL TROPHY which honours the memory of Leo and Lorna Leyden and their extraordinary contribution and support of Merinda. It is presented to the club with the greatest accumulation of aggregate points from Subbies to Seniors.

In the past Waverley has also presented the  PAT MARSH PERPETUAL TROPHY (previously known as the Past Merinda Parents trophy) - generously donated by the Past Merinda Parents  - which is awarded to the winner of the Championship Senior Clubs.   This trophy honours the founder of Merinda Calisthenic College and in particular acknowledges her outstanding achievements in Clubs.  From 2022, as there is no Championship Clubs section at Waverley, it will be presented to the winner of the SENIOR PREMIER CLUB section.

BESEN
STAGE DIMENSIONS AND OTHER INFORMATION

MUSIC & DLPs

This year we are asking that all music and DLPs be uploaded prior to the competition via dropbox.  An email has been sent out with details.  Please bring backups on USB or CD.

STAGE DIMENSIONS

Click here for the Stage Layout document.

BILLANOOK
STAGE DIMENSIONS AND OTHER INFORMATION

STAGE DIMENSIONS

The stage width is set up for 10m

The stage Depth is 9m from cyc to Apron (curved).

The Spots are set up as for the Besen... 3100 apart width and 2665 apart depth

BACK CURTAIN
The back black tab does not “FLY” up, instead it travels sideways.
The area behind the curtain is small.
Many coaches like to “run” with the curtain to make sure it does not wrap around the competitors.
You have the option of using the MID CURTAIN instead – you just need to make sure this does not affect your choreography and minimum numbers etc

THE SOUND SYSTEM AND MC
Are located OP (i.e. the opposite to normal). All music can be played from this side and Headphones are available to speak to the lighting tech.

MUSIC: CDs and USBs

This year we are asking that all music and dlps be uploaded prior to the competition via dropbox.  An email has been sent out with details.  Please bring backups on USB or CD.
Billanook is able to play either CD or USB from its sound system.
It is VITAL that if you have more than one piece of music on your USB that you know EXACTLY which track number it is that you wish to play.

DLPS

This year we are asking that all music and dlps be uploaded prior to the competition via dropbox.  An email has been sent out with details.  Please bring backups on USB.

As the computer system at Billanook is APPLE based, you need any movie files embedded within your powerpoint to be MP4 or MOV files. AVI should be ok… but WMVs will NOT play. Music embedded in your DLP will play as normal.

LIGHTING

You may wish to call your lighting and cue your DLPs from the Bio box (instead of from side stage). This is located at the back of theatre with access from inside the auditorium. Make sure you have someone side stage on the headset so you can communicate when you are ready and they can also indicate when your competitors are ready.

RIVER GUM
STAGE DIMENSIONS AND OTHER INFORMATION

STAGE DIMENSIONS

The stage width is set up for 10m

The stage Depth is 10m plus 1 m behind back tab.

The Spots are set up as for the Besen... 3100 apart width and 2665 apart depth

BACK CURTAIN
The back black tab does go sideways (parts in the middle)
The area behind the back curtain is 1m

THE SOUND SYSTEM AND MC
Are located  Prompt side

All music can be cued here and Headphones are available to speak to the lighting tech.

MUSIC: USBs
Music  will be sent via dropbox and preloaded before the competition.

We recommend bringing backup USB .

DLPS
DLPs will be sent via dropbox and preloaded before the competition

We recommend bringing backups

DLPs need to be as mp4.

LIGHTING

All lighting and DLPS can be called from side stage.

CANTEEN

Waverley will run a full canteen at BILLANOOK and RIVER GUM.  Besen will run it's own canteen.

IT'S COMPETITION TIME!

How exciting to be planning for a NORMAL competition season!

2021

C O V I D

Please be aware that competition timetables may need to be altered due to the uncertain environment we find ourselves in.  The goal is to be able to provide performance opportunities to our community and celebrate each and every performer, coach and support team.

L O C K D O W N

Due to the lockdown announced on August 5th, competition schedules are now being redone.  Please be patient as Calisthenics Victoria does its best to ensure everyone is given performance opportunities.  Stay safe!

P A T  M A R S H  P E R P E T U A L  T R O P H Y

We are very excited to announce that the perpetual trophy awarded to the winner of championship clubs has been renamed the PAT MARSH perpetual trophy.  It honours the incredible contribution she has made to calisthenics and especially acknowledges her wonderful ability to create beautiful technical clubs routines.

S C H E D U L E S - Plan B and Plan C

Calisthenics Victoria has been hard at work to create schedules in this incredibly difficult environment.  Plan A went out the door with the current lockdowns.  The intent is to prioritise sections that have not performed as yet - as such the focus is on Tinies, Subbies, Inters and Seniors.

They have developed Plan B - if we are out of lockdown and theatres are open the weekend of the 21st

Plan C - if lockdown is over starting the weekend of the 28th and theatres are open.

More schedules to come later.

N E W  L O C K D O W N  A N N O U N C E D

Well plans B and C are now out the door. Please take care and be patient. Sending good vibes out to all in the calisthenic community
